Romero Britto is a Brazilian born Pop artist who combines cheerful images, lively colors and facets of Pop art, graffiti with Cubism. Living in Miami for 25 years, Britto is one of the most famous living Pop artists.
He paints, serigraphs and sculpts and has made portraits of many famous people including Dustin Hoffman, Gloria Estefan and Andre Agassi.
Romero Britto is an extremely talented pop artist born in Brazil in 1963 who now lives in Miami. Its very difficult to drive around Miami without seeing one of his works.
His “talent” is a controversial topic in Miami because the art industry considers Britto to be too commercialized. The question here becomes whether it is acceptable to commercialize your art or not - I personally love the naive nature of it and this Britto is an extremely intelligent man for being able to make money from his art.
